Thread: Dawg Patch chord progressions

    Unhappy

I am wondering if anyone out there has the chords to this tune (Dawg Patch). I have the tune off of a DGQ album being played live. I have got the melody down, and have listened enough times to the tune to be able to solo to it, but I for some reason am suffering brain lock when I go to try to get the chord progressions down - especially the turn-around at the end of the head. I have looked for something online that would give me the progression, but have been unsuccessful so far. Any help from anyone out there would be much appreciated!
    Thanks!

Hey David , not sure you're still after an answer but I just tried to figure it out myself and was surprised at how tricky I found it.

    Anyway...

    F C | G Am x 4
    D7 | D7 x 2

    F C | G Am
    D7 G7 E7 A7 | D7 G7 C

That last line has a chord change on each beat.

Good job Halfa. Just a few subtle chord changes. See if you can find them on this chart from my volume of Dawg Jazz —
