    Default New Amp

As posted in the "Equipment" forum, I received my Carvin AG300 a couple weeks ago. Total cost with various options was a little over $600. The sound is very clear. I haven't cranked her all the way up to the 200 w max yet. All my acoustic instruments have twin head piezo pickups mounted internally. I bought this for solo acoustic gigging. Even though the High Z input is only 500 kohm, the sound is great with no preamp. An unexpected bonus is I've run my Mandobird VIII throuh it and it sounds great!

I have one also and I have run just about everything from a bass to a violin and vocals. It is a great little amp and pretty much does it all. I think Ed Goist has a AG200 and also liked it last time the Carvins came up. I think they are a lot of bang for the buck and they are made in the USA which is a plus.
