Have any of you made a guitar shaped mandola (CGDA)? If so can you recommend scale length, body length and lower bout width.

One of my very first instruments I made at the Redwing school of lutherie was a guitar shaped mandola. I chose a Gibson Super 400 body shape with a cutaway and reduced it to a 16 inch scale. It worked out pretty well for a newbie and looked very cool.
Are you planning an arch top with F-holes or a flat top?

A bunch of stuff with four strings
I think flat top.
I would look at tenor ukulele body dimensions and a 16 to 17 inch scale length to start with.

11"wide lower bout, 13.5" body length, 16" scale, worked better as daeb, no $ above the 5th fret, not much below either!
