Default Hard time finding a case for a Harmony arch top!

Hi all. I have a Harmony H1215T tenor guitar. The case it came in is awful, is too big, and doesn't seal or have cushioning. I am having a hard time locating a case that will fit it right. The body depth with the beige is about 6.25 inches. The body itself is as big as a standard arch top, 16 lower and 11,5 upper. It fits in one of my arch top cases, but no other. Do they make a case for these things? Or do I need to get another arch top guitar case and play with the molding?

    Thanks
    Its not a backwards guitar.

Elderly stocks a lot of cases ... and they even have a way of figuring out what fits what. One of the problems with Tenors perse which have a big body is the neck is almost always shorter for the case. If you want to have one built, Cedar Creek is one of the more accessible makers or ... use the extra head space to store strings or even your guitar strap.

But I'd look at Elderly first, then when you think you are getting close to the right size, eMail them with all the dimensions and maybe even a photograph and ask for their advice. They've pointed me in the right direction ... even got it close for a Ditson small body type Tenor which is virtually an impossible task for an off the shelf case. With the exception of one maker in Australia, I don't think anyone is building that type of instrument anymore. For an Arch top, they have a lot of choices.

good luck - Dion ( http://elderly.com/search/accessories/cats/138N.html ) this is an overall listing of ALL of Elderly's cases.

    Hi
Have you had any luck finding a case for your tenor archtop. I am currently coming across the same challenge.

I have a Harmony Monterey and went through the same search. The thing with them is the depth - with the bridge they require a really deep case plus they have a full 16" (IIRC) bout making them the same as the full-size guitars, except for the neck.

Mine fits perfectly, short neck aside, in my The Loar LH-700 archtop HSC so any case that fits The Loar archtops works for the Harmony.

Since I need that case for that guitar I got a Guardian CG-010-DJ Featherweight Case, Jumbo Acoustic from Amazon.

While it is light and protects well, it is quite bulky. It almost feels a bit silly to put such a small guitar in such a large case, but there you go.

Amazon didn't pack the cases well and the first one was crushed at one end, but they made good and I'm happy with it.

Thank you all for your input.
Unfortunately Guardian cases are not shipped to France where I currently live. Has any one had any experience with Gator Jumbo cases?

I checked the specs and my Harmony H1215T might fit too loosely. Then again there's always the solution of adding extra padding.

I think in Europe they are branded as Ashbury.
Check here to see if you can find it, or one that will fit

Or maybe buy and import it
