Very Cool!!! I love Going to California!!! ~o)
I love my MK A+ Plus. Sounds great for the $600 bucks I've paid for it back in 2005. My only complaint is playing an Eb flat cord down next to the nut. It's a bear to do plain and simple. However...
Hey Mandomana,
PM I'm in El Paso. I'd love to sit down and chat and jam.
Sincere Regards,
Keith
This is truly amazing!!!! Creepy or not........I love it!!!!
Yeppers!!! I can't say enough about this mandolin..... Dale hit it out of the ball park with it's craftsmanship, tone, volume, Pumpkin back and sides with the Black Top to boot. If you think this...
I vote for Dale Ludwig's Emory Lester Model Mandolin!!! Just my humble opinion :mandosmiley:
I don't know what more to add than what has been said already. This is a great thread.
I play my Ludewig in our church choir and I have to say this mandolin fits me perfectly. It sounds...
Welcome to the fun world of mandolins!!! 10 years plus and I have a custom build and a converted mandocello. You won't go wrong with the mandolin.
Is anyone going to the Silver City, New Mexico bluegrass festival?
I can't tell you enough how important it is to humidify your instrument. I live in a climate where we are at around 8% percent humidity. I am a fanatic about that humidifer.
Amen!!!
Very cool indeed!!!!!! I hope you keep the tradition going :mandosmiley:
Bluegrass Mandolin Extravaganza.......... specifically Wayfaring Stranger

From time to time, we have some folks who chime in from Afghanistan and Iraq and I know I enjoy reading their posts.
More mandocello for 2011 !!!! :mandosmiley:
Not sure why I would want to spend anymore time on the web than I have to.
I love the Mandolin Café and have more of a chance to access great mandolin resources. Not to mention the friends that I...
Just personally speaking...
....at the very beginning of my mandolin obsession, I wanted that scroll. I even had the opportunity to check out some F's at a shop in Tucson (even played a Gibson) ...
Funny that you should mentioin the trombone....
....About 10 years ago I saw Push Monkey perform at the El Paso County Collesium and that lead singer brought out a trombone. Interesting how they...
Just an observation....
Duane,
The Pickin' on Zeppelin CD has some harmonica especially on Kashmir. I understand that rules that are in place with IBMA or whoever, but I have to admit.........
If I was in the market for a new mandolin, I would most definitely have pulled the trigger on the KM900. And from the reviews I've read, it's worth ever penny of that extra US$700 bucks to boot.
My apologies if this question was asked....
....Did the Griffith Loar ever need any major restoration work or modifications?
Thanks,
Sounds like I need to take a road trip from the "Edge of Texas" to Austin (only 9 hours) On the way, I'll have to pick up Brian Walker. It's always good to have more than 1 Ludewig in a jam session...
I have to admit, I've heard A's and I've heard F's that sound pretty much exactly the same. Am I wrong? I don't know. All I know that that's how my ear hears things.
I too will probably never...
