    Re: Shipping Costs

With a mandolin, cost almost always depends on the size of the box, not the weight. A half inch more any dimension can make a huge difference in cost. The guys who do the measuring always round up....

    Re: Bluegrass Bumper Sticker

Many years ago I produced (and occasionally hosted) a bluegrass radio show. One time my ex-wife listened to the show and asked me 'Why do they have to play everything so fast?' So, if you were to...

My only disappointments have been not seeing Homer and Jethro and minimal mention of the Delmore Brothers. I believe it was Hank Williams said "You have not made it in Nashville till your song has...

Re: Big Family: The Story of Bluegrass Music

A documentary on Bluegrass left out Clarence White? Seriously? That's like doing a documentary on Woodstock and leaving out Jimi Hendrix.
  17. Re: Big Family: The Story of Bluegrass Music

I thought it was very good, too. OF course no film-length documentary could possible embrace the full history of bluegrass, but the omission of the Kentucky Colonels or at least some mention of...
