    I host a monthly fiddle tune "slow" (all speed) jam in New Providence once a month. Let me know if you want to be on the mailing list. Normally 2nd Wed, but this month it is the 3rd (April 20)

    Yes, Audacity can slow down without pitch change.

    Open a file, then go to Effects -> Change Tempo

    The Klipus book on Grappeli is good. Instead of the guitar book, I would look at "Getting Into Gypsy Jazz Violin" by Martin Norgaard.
