    Well the guy won it in a contest and I don't think he's played it, so I'm guessing at the moment it's CGDA. I live close to Deering and the sell the heavier strings for GDAE tuning, so we will see.

    If you like Ashokan Farewell, then check out Westphalia Waltz. It's one of my favorites and is in the Fiddler's Fakebook. You do need to read musical notation for the fakebook however.
