    This happened to me and I read on Cafe about graphite. I bought a small tube (looks like yogurt) and I put a small dab on both nut slots and bridge slots for all 8 strings everytime I change strings!!

    I got an old mahogany bitterroot F5 that I was really disappointed with soundwise. I noticed the bridge wasn't a 'perfect' fit and after reading threads about bridge- fitting I began sanding it down...

    Just curious, original tailpiece? I’ve a ‘99 with the cast ‘W’ tailpiece which I assumed was added later. I thought early Webers had the Gibson style tailpiece like yours before switching to the cast...
