  1. Re: Meet Marc Orleans - Brooklyn based busking mandolin player

It appears to me that Marc lived life on his own terms and was, no doubt averse to compromise. He strikes me as
a shining example of courage lived everyday. We should all be so courageous.

Re: Should Bryan Kimsey scallop my guitar?

Tried(not very hard) to stay out of this discussion since I know so little of the topic at hand.

I am very favorably impressed with the knowledge and experience being shared here so freely....

  6. Re: Transcriptions for Butch Baldassari's "Travellers" Album?

"Travellers" Butch Baldassari,Robin Bullock, and John Reischman is one for the ages. The best of three of the best.

    Long may you run.

My body knows full well that my brain is a chronic liar. They barely speak anymore.

I'm going to attempt "Limerock",yet again, just to prove it.

    Re: Norman Blake Tunes

3rd St. Gypsy Rag is a great Mando workout. I always hear Nancy's cello when I hear that tune.
Nice job Mack! Playing that one solo takes some chops.

"Sage Fields" is a rather obscure piece that...

And two for mandolins. They are all about 20 years old.
