It supposedly allows for really low action and the same string sound open as when fretted.
I think this might be great on...
I got the gold tone in the mail today.
It is as described. More or less factory new.
It was pretty clean too, except for what looked and smelled like a splat of dried skin lotion on the top. I...

It looks like the online prices for the Blue Ridge, in the US, are about $100-$200 more than the Gold-Tone.
The one you saw on their website is not the one I played. They have two other martins. One is $1400 and the other I didn't ask.
But either one of those is too rich for my blood.
I actually...

That's the one I think would be the right size.
Can you ask him to post some close up pics of how he attached the bridge to the sound box to the horn?
Yeah. Me owning the vintage martin would be like me driving my kids to school in a classic car.
When I look online the Blueridge costs more than the gold-tone.

Small world.
I would love a classical guitar made out of a french horn or something in between that and a tuba. What's that called a euphonium?
But, it would have to be a beater I could bring to...
I have to think on that. They were like $30, Right. They are nice with the wooden pegs.

they look nice. They are out of my budget.
The Gotoh Uke tuners are probably the route I'm going. I spoke Jake Wildwood in Vermont, he recommends.
His rates warrant mailing him the guitar and...
I just played a Gold-Tone and was pretty darn impressed. If you look on eBay and reverb.com there are a few to be had there for under $250. One with a nice plush case... at least as of a few days...
Not mahogany,it looked like the one below. I tried to find a pic of it on their site and could not, but it is a 1930ish
Please don't jump all over me. But I was pretty impressed with the...
I played a $400 Gold-Tone TG-10 at a guitar store. I also played a $1500 vintage Martin tenor they had there.
The Gold-Tone neck was a few hairs wider than the Martin which was nice because the...
I picked up a humidifier. Do I need to use distilled water like the box says?
Ugh... another trip to the store.
It basically works like an old gramophone or Victrola. But instead of the needle vibrating in the groove of the record it is vibrated by the bridge.
The bridge basically connects a pin the is...

Ever since I saw a ONE string Stroh violin at Larch Street music in Bogota NJ I've been fascinated.
I've done some online poking and found that they made these around the turn of last century to...
Those look nice.
I'll look around for them.
I heard what another member said about being mindful of the weight of the tuners. This guitar weighs almost nothing.
I'm sending you a PM with...
Thats some nice clean bracing.
If you were not on an island in the middle of the English Channel I might send it to you.
Cheers.
