Re: Cody Shuler Loar inspired cases

They are very pretty to say the least! I don’t think I would let it hide in a closet, right in the middle of the living room! Might make me play more….

Re: To be or not to be (a bluegrass player)

    Mostly.
It’s what I’ve been paid to play.

    Re: Bill Halsey's last F-5

There is an appreciation of the grace of line in pretty much all of Bill’s projects. I watched him make a simple “straight line” knife rack and even that was “elegant”.
    Broke the mould after him!

    Re: Bill Halsey's last F-5

Demetrius, that’s great! Glad that you have another piece of Bill’s craftsmanship! A better home it would only have if it was with ME!
    Congratulations on the mandolin.

    Re: Random mandolin sightings

    Re: Jesse Stewart RIP

I completely agree, some success followed by a terrible downward spiral.
It reminds me of so many musical talents who get a taste of success and before they can really enjoy their talent.
    Sadly,...

Re: Ever heard of a "guitar chair?!"

Exactly John, it’s the graduation of the seat thickness and tuning if the back splats which makes it “special”!

    Re: William Halsey mandolin owners?

    Yep, that’s Bill!
When I was remodeling my kitchen I wanted to put a “twine dispenser” coming down from a stainless screw eye but, I drilled a hole in the cupboard and it just didn’t quite “right”....
