  4. Re: Armenian (soviet) 1970's electric mandolin monstrosity

    Is it left handed?
The seller just needs to add that it’s being sold by Django Reinhardt’s grandson -that would add a couple of thousand to the price.

Re: post a video of yourself

Thanks Jo, that’s such a great tune, and I like the authentic feel you give to it.
    Well done.

Just an idea, but you could post yours to Song A Week under the song title and some of us 7/8 time...

Sorry if I’m not explaining this very well.

I’m trying to learn to read notation but I have other skills that impede this. And I’m actually a bit dyslexic.

Re: Leather straps: flat or braided?

I’d probably save the leather that you have, use it for something else.
In Europe you can pick up really nice, sometimes strangely fancy 1970s and 1980s leather belts at second hand shops. Often...

    Re: Calace method exercise 52

I’m guessing here but if I started a tremolo on the upstroke, which seems to me to be rare anyway, then I’d want to start the tremolo with an upstroke. This would avoid the inevitable hiccup that...

It doesn’t change the pronunciation, but line 7 could equally be ‘sa voix’, meaning her voice, rather than ‘ça voix’, meaning this voice.
It’s a Quebecois accent which might explain the different...
