Can anyone post setlists? I understand each show was supposed to be completely different setlists
No one can doubt the technical mastery of that video, particularly the impressive stamina to keep up the rhythm with the right hand, but I have to say this song left me cold.
Say it isn’t so! Thile splits the crowd here? Who would have thought? :)
Since people are throwing out their "bests", I will nominate Chris Thile's performance on Douglas Fir. There is something endlessly fascinating about the mandolin line here. Not only gorgeous but...

This thread is living proof of the old saw, “you can’t please everyone.”
Chris alternated between “whimsical “songs (of which Falsetto is an answer to complaints about) and gorgeous songs. This collection has both. I could have stood with losing Elephant in the Room and...
i don't care what it's called. It's a nice mandolin for the money.
I have a The Loar 600 and it's a very nice one too. I bought it second hand from a guy who had it worked on by Robert Fear.
About six months ago the strap I was using gave way and it fell...
Maybe it was a "The Loar"?

Noise Machine is just about my favorite song of the year. Disappointed Fast As You Can is vinyl only.

I have been to Belize as well last summer and unless you are going to Hopkins or the Cays, it is most definitely not a country for a fine mandolin. Too humid, rough roads. That said, a beater...
I am a hack player and I am way over my head with my The Loar LM-600 with Cumberland Bridge and Allen Tailpiece. Can't see ever getting better than the mandolin at my age.
This Side is what turned me onto mandolin, Chris Thile, Punch Brothers and all that followed. Great band.
According to the video description on YouTube: "Late night at Mandolin Central: Tony Williamson on '24 Loar, Chris Thile on '24 F-2, Chris Eldridge on '37 D-28 and Gabe Wicher on a 18th century...
CT threads are almost as entertaining as CT playing.
Hello,
Have a Loar 600 inbound and I am really not a huge fan of that foam The Loar case. Lots of wasted space there and would really prefer a smaller hard shell case. I wanted to know if anyone...
RIP, great genius.
