I intended to mention the gentleman playing mandolin plays an exceptional Sullivan F5. The guitar player, also absolutely terrific, plays a Sullivan arch top that sounds like a Dread...kinda blew my...

    Re: Thor's Hammer, many thanks

Briefly..the thing that makes the Wienman special(at least in my view) is the "dry-ness" of the tone. The little recording i stuck in this thread included brand new strings and was recorded on a cell...

Re: Visit to Carter Vintage Guitars

I'm perplexed by the Northfield sentiment on the thread. I played one of the arch top models at Dusty Strings in Seattle awhile back and thought it was just fantastic. It was warm, rich and lively....

My apologies...it sounds a bit vain but i'm interested in the possibility of posting original music. I don't necessarily have any expectations but yeah, i guess getting paid would be ok. Thanks...
  18. Suggestions for Online posting of musical content for payment?

I've not entertained the idea of posting original music online for pay until recently. Do folks here on the cafe have suggestions about this topic? Thanks for your input.

Nichols Road mandolins have smaller neck width i believe. At least the one I owned and enjoyed was an inch wide. Very nice mandolins. Have fun!!
