  1. Re: a suggestion for not mutin you mando with your belly

I have a Tone Guard on most of my mandolins. The difference in tone is noticeable.

Very excited to be expecting this one.

Spoke to Oliver about it before the purchase to see if it was right for me. It was.

    He makes incredible instruments.

    Re: NMD - Apitius Classic

    Thank you.

Don't think ours were 'bench brothers' though.

Mine was built in 2016 and is the Classic model. It's been in a shop in Louisiana - new - being ignored. I suppose you'd call it...

    NMD - Apitius Classic

    Should be here mid-week.

The waiting is always the hardest part, but a wonderful addition to the stable.

I have never heard an Apitius I didn't fall in love with.

    Mark -

I am finding the course incredibly valuable.

It is giving me useful information presented in a way that allows me to employ it fairly rapidly.

That being said, it is making my brain...

    "Fretboard Success" with Magnus

Sat in on his Zoom hour yesterday (along with 200 others), and took advantage of his sale price on his "Fretboard Success" program.

Anyone else here enroll in it?
  19. Re: Charles Johnson - Mandolin World Headquarters

    Len B. -

Took me a while to pull the trigger. Dumped 2 guitars to pull it off, and well worth it. It's good.

The Flatiron he has is tempting as well. Take a look if you haven't.

Just want to give Charles the props he's due.

Purchased this from him. Just a great, easy experience.

He was honest, patient, and great to work with.

    I wouldn't hesitate to do...

    Re: Woodstock

I was fortunate enough to have attended.

I had turned 18 in May, and the festival was in August.

I lived - and still live - on Long Island, NY, so it was only about a 2 1/2 hour drive.
