Very nice, great bluegrass tone!!! Keep it up...
Thanks for the comments. Yes, Don Stiernbergs' Nugget was the inspiration for building a 2 point. It's a good intermediate step in the building experience, between the simplicity of the A model and...

I just put the 1st set of strings on #16 a few days ago. Red spruce top, maple back, sides and neck, Tru Oil finish. Strung up sort of in the white while I shape the neck. Hope the youtube link...

Wow that's a beauty...
There's less rubbing around, which sometimes bothers my wrist, with Tru-oil. I can't say I have a preference. There's something romantic about "french polish" though...

Looks great and sounds great too...
Thanks Matt,
Actually this is French polish - shellac finish. With Tru-oil - put on a lot of thin coats and sand back to level out and do it again...

Thanks for all the kind words, I wish I had some better pictures.
I hope this video link works. Not the greatest but hopefully you can get an idea of the sound. My buddy...
I just finished #10. It's a redwood top and walnut back & sides. Finished with Seal-lac sealer, then french polish on the top and Tru-oil on the walnut. I'll try to get a sound sample up. It sounds...
Nice picture. Can't beat film if you ask me.
What film are you shooting? I've got an FE2 and a freezer full of Agfapan...
Brian
Larry thanks for the great clip. Where do you find it?
Thanks for all the replies. I'll try to post a video of Darrell

Thanks for all the comments. I agree about the logo but I just haven't wanted to tackle the inlay process yet, maybe on the next one. It's got a beautiful sound, very rich. I'll try to get a sound...
Very nice playing all around - nice sounding mandolin too...
