    Re: Colored notes in TablEdit

sblock, I do appreciate the work that you did to correct the original. To rephrase what my original questions were:

In the original file, I didn't and still don't understand why those notes were...

    Re: Colored notes in TablEdit

Oh, man. I found a way to get the red notes back to black -
    1. put the cursor on a red note.
    2. make sure the duration value button for the default note duration is set to the duration value of...

OK. So I tried to follow exactly the procedure you outlined. I end up with the attached. Note that all the red colored notes are still there. And I do not see a single 'duration error' in any of...

Re: A question about floating pickguards

Try Hill Country Stringworks and Cumberland Acoustics. You'll still have to drill the holes yourself or take the instrument to a luthier.
  13. Re: Weber factory tuner I.D. wanted / Adjustment question

I am quite happy with them; haven't ever thought about upgrading.
  14. Re: Weber factory tuner I.D. wanted / Adjustment question

I have the same tuners on my 2012 Rawhide. They look like Grover 309CN to me. And I have a set of worm-over 309 C's on another mando - the back plate is identical except it is flipped top to bottom.
  15. Re: Tip: Replacing Book Bindings with Spiral Bindings

Yup. Then you buy another copy. I do have some inadvertent duplicates.
  16. Re: Tip: Replacing Book Bindings with Spiral Bindings

I use Office Depot, which also does a good job. Only problem is that I can't read the title on the spine anymore. It sure is nice to be able to open them to a page and put it on a music stand.

    Re: Shipping Costs

With a mandolin, cost almost always depends on the size of the box, not the weight. A half inch more any dimension can make a huge difference in cost. The guys who do the measuring always round up....

Re: Which bridge should I get?

I do like the newer style ("traditional") Brekke bridge for its adjustability under full string tension. I have old man's hearing, but to me, it sounds great.

    Re: Did someone say PICKS?

A wise guru once said: "For every mandolin there exists a perfect pick."

And: "For every pick there exists a perfect mandolin."

And finally: "And never the twain shall meet."

  24. Re: Campanella two-point (How to make an accent on due?)

That does work, but I believe the Due is named as the Italian word for two, as in two-pointer. Thus no accent.
