    Not sure which specific sets if Daddario mediums you are referring to that lose tone quickly and oxidize. If you generally like PB strings,don't like oxidation,and want nice tone try one of the XT...

    Have had the XT 11.4-40 for a couple weeks now. They sound way better than when new. I'm planning to keep them on for months. Liking them better than I thought...

    The real trick is to make it sound like you are always in tune.(Dawgism)
