Just read that he has succumbed to coronavirus. A hero of mine for a long time. So sad.

You guys could have said you need to use code 'mandolin cafe' when ordering. I couldn't find them on the site:(
  6. Re: Wegen (bluegrass) picks without grip holes available?

He’ll do customs, so no holes shouldn’t be a problem. Wegenpicks.com

    1. Some folks do, but not common AFAIK
    2. a. Yes, the response will change. Whether you can hear it is another matter.

    Re: When You First . . .

In reflecting, the player who has had the most influence on me is Brian Oberlin. Through him, both with lessons and his camp, I got acquainted with classical players such as Carlo Aonzo and Evan...

Re: Breaking in or Opening Up

I think it’s possible to run out of good notes in an instrument. Some of mine are developing that symptom.

Re: Just bought my first mandolin!

The screw is to hold a strap, which will make holding and playing the mandolin much easier. Wouldn't open the case without a strap.

The neck is a matter of taste, its to make the neck less sticky...

Re: Breaking in or Opening Up

All of my mandolins open up with new strings. When the old strings start to fall asleep, I change picks to a spare one of my 153 different picks. It’s just amazing.:)

    And I’m sure my hearing...

    Re: Strap Button Recommendations

I see my fortune, custom turning wood strap buttons with a recessed screw, leave a shoulder for the MOP or abalone.

    Re: What?

The liquor stores are still open, and here in Oregon, so are the pot shops. Priorities are so important.

I can mail order picks, strings and mandolins, can't mail order booze. Its so hard:(

    Re: A new prototype mandolin

Re: What is the "Must Have" Mandolin Book(s)?
