    Re: Pick Question

My guess is that since you are new to the mandolin, you do not have a developed right hand technique. The thinner pick is easier to move thru the strings while the heavier pick requires more effort...

Re: Any banjo experts out there?

I am sure that there are folks here that know banjos. Posting photo's is a must. Also you can post photos at https://www.banjohangout.org/

Re: Looking for an F-Style mandola gig bag

After doing a quick search, mandola gig bags are few and far between. There are plenty of baritone ukulele gig bags available if you think those might work.

    You own a few?! :disbelief:

    Re: Recent A model Mandolin

Being a retired violin maker, I noticed you put a pin in the back to the tail block. Beautiful mandolin.

    Re: Carlo de Filippis recording

Interesting to note that the mandolin depicted on the MGM (blue) Lp appears to be the one that was for sale at Mill River Music (post #35) and the one depicted in the photo from Mandopops (post #36)...

I had not heard that term before. I guess it does not mean tuning your mandolin in the rain.

Re: DAWG picks. YES, they work

Seems like the BC picks sell pretty quickly in the classifieds. One question, if the BC picks last so long, why buy $300 worth?
