I recently got a 5 String Goldtone and am too having a difficult time getting used to the C string. Some of you u have mentioned playing chords on the bass strings. Is there chord charts available,...
If you are looking for more bass the SA will do the trick. Mine has the strongest G strings I’ve ever played. I understand working with Ken Ratcliff is a pleasure and he can dial in the tone.
I tend to not change my strings that often🙂, but I noticed they were still sounding and feeling good under my fingers for a couple of months. What I don’t like about most ph/bz strings is that new...
Yes, for sure!
I have used them and really like the tone. Very even sounding. They last a long time.
Congrats and enjoy! I have the same model with a few different appointments.
Thanks for the memory. I have that record, need to dig it out and have a listen again. Great album cover!
Yes Bogle, it sounds sped up to Chipmunk speed! 😁
Thanks for sharing! Hope you post some more mando!
Are those banjo finger picks? And is that a banjo roll pattern you are using, or could you explain.
Many thanks!
Thank you for posting. Love the old hymns. Hope you add more! Do you play any in GDAE tuning?
Mine will be going on a Silverangel as well!

This was at our church, so I plugged into a LR Baggs Venue which went to sound board. I did have monitors and the volume was cranked on the Myers pre as well as volume on the Venue. Using a DI into...
Just tryed out the Myers Feather Mini-Mic in live performance today. Sounds totally natural, no feedback. Very happy with the options of removing it without any mods to my mandolin. The gooseneck...
Just saw their band with John Cowan here in Florida. They were great!
I had a tiger oak Seeger player piano that was working and a great novelty. Because I needed the space, sold it, but it took awhile. I put it on EBay for the best exposure and a collector contacted...
Thank you all, I got it off and it did leave an impression on the top. The underside of the bridge had a touch of the finish. Unavoidable I guess. I cleaned both areas and reset the bridge with new...
Greetings. I am changing strings and need to move bridge to correct intonation, however the bridge seems stuck to top. I’ve tried to shift it and wiggle, but don’t want to apply too much pressure,...
Thank you JL for all that info. I can't tell if the head is natural hide, it's quite thin, has some variations in it like leather, and is stretched tight. It is quite dirty, and don't know if I...
Allen, I could find no ID marks. Strung it up today with light mando strings, just 4 courses, to try. Plays well except for going out of tune easily. Might be better after the strings settle in....
Thank you all for the info. Here's the back side.

159931Need help finding out about this Banjo Mandolin. No name. It came to me strung with only 4 strings that are nylon. The string gauges appear about equal, and wonder if there is a reason why...
