    I agree with Rick. The bottom and the top sections are two different pieces of wood. Grain lines clearly are not lined up, esp on the treble side.
    Also, on bent tops, the cut is made on the inside...

    Wow, very cool! Finding a tailpiece cover for a regular trap door is almost impossible, you might own the only known one of those. :grin:
