    Soloing, breaks and improvisations

    One source of constant frustration Is learning how to create breaks or improvisation. I just don't know where to start. I think one of my problems is I don't know as much as I should with music theory

    Has any one on here built a mandolin from raw wood? I have a beautiful cherry burl that I'd love to make a mandolin out of is it possible? Also the wood is still green how would I season it?
