Re: more accurate clip on tuner than Snark?

I have the Tuner Lite app, just in case of emergency. It works just fine.
  2. Re: Would anyone be interested in a Blue Chip pick shootout?

My main instrument is guitar, and I'm a Luddite, or actually more of a burnt out dinosaur, when it comes to recording. I have a few Bluechip TD40's, and dig the Wegens as well.

    But, as a gear head...
  3. Washers and buttons and coins. Oh my....

The other thread had a link to Brian May using a sixpence for a pick, and I had always heard of Gibbons using a peso. I've also read about Django using a button.

Re: Once in a Lifetime Mandolin Find

    Yep.

I'd never heard of Scotty Stoneman until I found his mandolin hanging on the wall at the old Gruhns, downtown.

The pathway of fate can be a tangled mess of a map.

    I was unaware.

  18. Re: i think this would be such a cool tune to play on mandolin

I love it, but I spent a decade plus in Louisiana so I'm biased.

    Re: Mike Marshall’s tone recipe

I think we all chase the "sound in our head'.

If yours has instructions, you're one step ahead of most of us.
  22. Re: Funny reference to Bluegrass in mystery novel

    I'm going with that.

Re: Looking For An F5 Gibson

I agree with Chris. Although I'm "out" of the market for electrics these days, there are literally millions of them out there and selling them yourself is a pain, strangers and stuff.

    Best of luck.
