Re: To Cafe Members on the US West Coast

    Re: Which Budget Fingerstyle Guitar?

The Eastman E20M may be called a 1 3/4 nut.. possibly true.

However on the ones I have played the string spacing at the nut was cut as if it were a 1 11/16ths and the string spacing at the bridge...

    Re: Eastman Mandolin Advice

Another opinion. I find no advantage in the F style tonally or otherwise. Gilchrist, himself, told me the very same thing back around 1990 in Carmel, Calif at his then US distributor's shop. He...

Thanks for the alert.. CD ordered.
  18. Re: Aesthetic Question for Builders (and Buyers)

    We agree.

I prefer natural wood and a Martin D18 look on instruments to include mandolins.

White/ivoroid binding is a deterrent to purchase.
  19. Re: Article: Introducing David Grisman's Mandolin Workshop Books

Ordered... and... grateful there are artists/musicians/instructors who have respect for the "musician/student/mandolin player" and present spiral bound volumes. Much thanks.
  20. Re: Sierra Hull playing as half the audience walks away.

    Brilliant.

I have two ways to rid myself of company.

    1. Play one of my many button (diatonic) accordeons
    2. Sing

Depending on the audience, I might reverse the order.

Re: Should Bryan Kimsey scallop my guitar?

My "no" response has nothing to do with Bryan Kimsey, I would simply not scallop the instrument.
