    I use flatwounds on a few mandolins but didn't like them on my Breedlove.Very dull sounding.

    The pickup changes everything.I had a Mandostrat and could never get good sound.Even when I put in the Almuse.The JBovier was much better.I had a Godin and thought about putting a humbucker on it...
