Can anyone out there point me to a link that has a chronological history of the various Weber mandolin models showing build years?
There doesn’t appear to be anything like that on the Weber site...
Ha, Ha, very funny! Wear short pants and your playing will improve, they said.
I don't care who you say you are, never drop my mandolin in the water again!
I’m no Poseidon, but here you go, Medusa, give it a try!
Maybe some of this has to do with nostalgia and recalling fond memories connected with our youth or maybe it has more to do with "music taste freeze". According to a recent study our musical tastes...
And what would one use to play it? (wait for it) An ice pick, of course!
Since Peter Ostroushko's name has been mentioned…his CD "When The Last Morning Glory Blooms" is entirely ¾ time except for one tune.

I was in one of my local music shops the other day and noticed a brand of mandolin strings that doesn't appear to have been discussed on the forum –S.I.T strings. A search of the forum threads...
It appears that a similar problem has already been discussed in this thread dealing with tilting bridges so unless someone can offer a different solution I'm off to read what's revealed in that...
Update to my intonation problem:
I've had good results in adjusting the bridges on both mandolins as far as obtaining proper intonation. Things are in tune on the open strings and at the 12th...

I probably did see you there, way back in the last millennium. Your band was one of the ones I highlighted in the festival program book. Sorry, can't say that I remember any of your...
Winnipeg Folk Festival in July. The most recent issue of Delta Airlines Sky Magazine lists the Winnipeg Folk Festival as one of the top ten music festivals in the world. The six day outdoor festival...
Many thanks to all those who responded generously with their suggestions and advice!
Although I've always been super careful, when restringing, not to move the bridge out of position, that may...
My Michael Kelly Legacy FS mandolin was professionally set up when I bought it new four years ago. While tuning it the other day before my daily practise, I discovered the strings are not in tune up...
Thanks to all for their recommendations. With this dealer list in hand, I'm sure to find what I'm looking for.
