I had the book previously but lost it when my hard drive got wiped. Requested another from Rob and received it less than an hour later. Really valuable resource. Thanks, Rob!

I agree! Camp was excellent this year, and I can't wait for 2022. I will be practicing and looking forward to picking with y'all next year!
Just stumbled onto this thread. Whatever happened with the transcription project? I'd be very interested in acquiring a book of the transcriptions!
Great job! Love the tune!
Totally agree! I always like Baron's take on the tunes, he's a great player, he puts out new stuff every week, and there's no charge unless you want to pay--which I do, since I get so much out of it....
I never even won a Halloween contest as a child--let alone won while dressed up as a mermaid in a wagon...
Congrats!!!
Congratulations! I have a Girouard guitar-body octave that I love. Max and Lauri are awesome--you'll love working with them on your new mando.
Great thread!
1. Know the notes on the fretboard at a glance.
2. Know the major and minor arpeggios for G, A, B, C, D, E, and F--major and minor.
3. Know the double stops for the above keys....
From Carl Jones:
Dear friends and fellow mandolin pickers,
I'm teaching an online Concert Window workshop this SAT Jan 6th at 1 p.m. EST. This session I'll be teaching a fun old time tune in D...
So cool! What did you think of the natural finish oval-hole A (Model 1)?
...and bizarre.
Is the inside storage compartment big enough to hold a set of strings?
I'm wondering who's got one of the newer Calton cases and what you think of them? The finish and shape are somewhat different from the older ones and I'd like to know people's opinions. Pictures...
I afraid to ask...?
I've been to several acoustic music (mostly mandolin) camps over the years where you just kinda get to hang out with, and learn from, many of your musical idols in a pretty low-key way. And, of...
I claim this ocean in the name of the sacred mandolin!
Will, are you ego-surfing again?
Thanks for all the great mandos!
Welcome to the club! I couldn't be happier with #194, also an A5.
I believe that's a Pete Martin creation.
Really great! So, 10 strings? What's up with that?? :disbelief:
So true...but in a good way...;)
I just went to a weekend mandolin workshop that Baron Collins-Hill was a part of and I highly recommend him. He's even better in person than he is in his video lessons--so I think he would be great...
This sounds great! Do you know what level of player it's pitched for?
Absolutely! See you there!
I just saw pictures of those on Facebook--so envious! You're gonna love it, I'm sure!
