    The simple solution to a slippery bridge is to grab a cake of bow rosin from your violin or bass friend & rub a little on the underside of the bridge; problem solved.

    I use the same technique, but slower. My bench light and a 100w bulb. It still gets hot, takes more time, but I remove bridges like that all the time. It is a little safer and doesn't burn the wood....
