Too young to go. His playing had a unique lilt and flow. I was glad to follow him thru several bands over many years.
Well that was awesome.
This thread is giving me pleasant flashbacks. Here's a pic from the place I bought my er hu:

I traveled to China about 20 years ago and I kinda' fell in love with their music, their art and their culture.
The er hu is my favorite Chinese instrument. It's one of those upright bowed...
Words fail me.
I second the recommendation by Mr. Garber to attend to the back cracks and leave the pearloid pickguard as is. In fact, I kinda' like the patina. Very cool guitar. It's a design that appeals to me...

Standing ovation happening at my house. Thanks to every participant.
Thanks for posting these pix. It's great to see how an instrument takes shape.

Awesome. It's now 100,001 views.
Winter and low humidity and end-pins start coming out of the woodwork :).
Raise the humidity or wrap painters tape around the pin. Or any of the other great suggestions above.
Largely, it's a...
I can't let this pass without saying thank you Ted. Spent many pleasant hours on the jazzmando website.
Thanks Aaron for spending the time and energy on this lesson.
Anybody out there wanting to learn chord melody, start here.
Great song choice too!

For those documenting Dawg mandolins, is there any interest in adding Dawg mandolas? I have one and would be glad to contribute - who's collecting info and where/how do I post?
