Top notch, Nick!! I've just listened to Windermere so far.
Here's a link to an ebay listing from back in 2016. It's in Europe, guess there's a chance this is your target:
https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Weber-Custom-ElIte-F5-Mandolin-/122088571604
Update: Gave the mandolin a chance today with it tuned down a step and capoed at 2nd fret. Watched the video mentioned previously regarding positioning of fretting arm and instrument. Somehow...
Rob,
It's surprising, yes, related to upper back? I hope many can see this, because it could be true for some others as well. The last time when I had the symptoms of carpal tunnel, it took a...
Thank you Allen. I need this reminder to be more efficient in my practice. I am taking online lessons with pros for both insturments, voice too, will continue the discussion there.
Bill, Awesome outlook and appreciate the message. I know you love the mandolin.
Don,
Thank you for your excellent message here, and I appreiciate them all.
I agree it must be different muscles that are stressed. I play medium guage strings and bluegrass quite a bit...
The setup is done by Elderly.
Hi All,
My mandolin is arriving tomorrow. Giving it a go again after a decade+ break.
I hurt myself last time (symptoms of carpal tunnel, could not use left hand for 2 weeks).
This was due...
Yes to upper back nerve pinching giving symptoms of carpal tunnel. Happened to me.
Wow...great group of musicians. Thanks for this. Fresh and refreshing.
Update: Doctor, Chiropractor, Physical Therapist have resulted in quite a bit of expense. Pretty serious injury (not being able to use left hand), so gather round, boys and girls, and take...
From what I've seen so far in my searching (and I'm new to the mandolin) the Brentrup Stealth makes sense to me, and judging only by the sound clips, was my favorite offered on the site.

I wonder what this would sound like. Anyone played one?
I have nothing to do with the listing.
I also want to say that I believe that had I been active and in better shape I think I would not have experienced the injury to begin with.
Update:
Woke up with a lot of pain and a bit of swelling. Ice helped get it down.
Went to doctor and diagnosis (without sophisticated testing) was both tennis elbow and carpal. Also went...
I'm going to see a doctor, as I've gathered here that it can get worse if not treated. Seems like ice/heat, a brace, excercise, and keeping hydrated would be good starting points, as well as some...
Thank you for all the suggestions and replies.
The condition surprised me so much as I haven't experienced it before, after years of playing other instruments.
I'm going to hold off on playing...
I've searched other threads and found that I'm not alone, but didn't find a solution or resolution.
I've practiced quite a bit in the past on guitar and fiddle and never experienced this. I'll be...

Thanks for all the greetings.
Made it to Gryphon and checked out a few mandolins.
If anyone knows of builders or other places to check out mandolins here, let me know.
Pretty interested in...
Hi,
I'm from the east coast, but currently working in San Jose. I've been a guitar player for almost 30 years, and kind of took up the fiddle a couple of years ago. I sometimes play with...
