I've just stumbled across this bowlback mandolin on ebay france (Im french!) and I wondered if someone may recognize anything that would identify its origin.

What intrigued me is the form...

Fortunately I already have a Fender hot rod deluxe; cant wait to hear how the all thing will sound.
with those floating pickups its so easy just to try!

I was thinking the same! Think I'm gonna try your setup, found a DeArmond "monkey on a stick" pickup on sale, they are pretty rare in France! This might save my TG-50 or else I'll pass it to somone...

I just received my first archtop tenor guitar, a Gibson TG-50, and I discovered that the owner had put strings for Chicago tuning. I didnt pay attention and the strings broke.
