    For my 2-cents, I can suggest 2 things.

    1. There is a liquid on the market called OdoBan. Using a mist sprayer and several repeated light applications may help quite a bit.

    2. Good...

    Re: Anybody owned a Washburn M1SD?

    As Tara said above, it is not a high end mandolin, but I love mine and think that it was a great value for the money. The one that I own has reasonable tone and plays very easily. If you click on...

  4. Re: What’s the nicest mandolin you’ve ever seen?

    As 'players' go - I once got to play Joe Val's Loar . . . wow!

    Confused By 4 Strings

    I know that I should never be surprised when knuckleheads at GC make huge blunders on their internet listings - but I came across these two, just today.

    Wow!

    Re: Modern Oval Holes

    After 15 years on the standard f-hole bandwagon, I finally joined the Oval Hole Club about 5 or 6 years ago. I'm not enough of a player to substantiate the purchase of a mandolin anywhere in the...

    <violates Forum posting guidelines>

    Posting a picture of oneself playing mandolin is OK. Injecting political and religious issues and opinion into the conversation is not.

    Re: Shelter-in-place (NMC)

    Normally, I would be THRILLED at the prospect of not having to go to work for a prolonged period of time (I am an intrinsically lazy person) - but right now I am very glad that I have an 'essential'...

    Re: Mastering a New Skill

    In short - there are certain things that science can't explain.

    Re: yamaha mandolins

    Obviously, I can't comment on a Yamaha mandolin, but I think Yamaha instruments don't get the proper respect that they deserve among many musicians. My personal experience has been that a pretty...
