Re: Has anyone played in Ireland Jam Sessions?

I want to urge the OP to read carefully Jill's post #17 in this thread. It is very well organized, well-written and full of good advice from someone who has been playing traditional Irish music and...

    Re: Amazing Sloww Downer questions

DaveG - There IS a way to save the bookmarks for later use in ASD (without saving the loop itself). The feature is called a "preset" and it does exactly what you want. But only ten presets are...

    Re: Amazing Sloww Downer questions

After having created a loop (by pressing the START Pt and then the END Pt) you click on the File menu, select Save Song As and then choose either Wav or Encoded, as you prefer. (I recommend Encoded,...

    Re: Compulsive purchase- Flatiron 1N

I don't think that's possible, Jim. Sound to Earth was founded in 1997. But they might have been together in the Bozeman shop of the Flatiron Mandolin and Banjo Company in 1983.

On my computer, they sound like an accordion. Especially so the tunes with chordal accompaniment - you may have to hunt for such tunes.

    Re: Top-rated mandolins for 2020

I like this CON in the review of the EJ-74 strings:

"Keep in mind the size of these strings as they will make a great fit only for medium-sized mandolins"

    Re: Playing remotely with friends

So Dave, what audio Interface are you using? and OS? With latency that low, I'll bet you could turn on the video. Try it for a time. If the latency goes up, you can easily turn the video off.

    Re: On-Line Jamming Apps?

Yes. JamKazam works very well. It requires a WIRED (no WiFi) Internet connection (Ethernet cable), an audio interface, microphone and headphones. Also it requires patience. :)
