    the 57 you have doesn't need it

    Volume, & Physics, IMHO, is about thicker strings at higher tension, hit harder with your pick, when you play..

    Otherwise just turn up the Amp your Mic is connected up to..

    Yea, I have but I don't own a Collings MTO either .. I did try them

    NB they have a wound A with a very thin core wire , so if you have a light touch they may not break that A.. in days
    ...
