    Good points from BW; at 35 - 50% RH, most won't need to increase humidity. Living in the desert, with single digit humidity levels, I monitor my instruments closely.

    If you decide to use an arm rest, be sure to scrape off the imitation cork from the bracket and replace it with a thin strip of leather in order to protect the finish.

    The LM 400 is an A style, lots of The Loar mandolins pass through The Mandolin Store as well as Folkmuscian;...reputable dealers, with very little, if any inventory at this time.

    No arm rest here, in the past I used them on my Gibson and Kentucky because of the sharp edge where my arm pressed against the side, it worked for that, my forearm still would rest on the mando top...

    I place a plastic pill bottle (With many quarter inch holes drilled into it) with a damp rolled up sponge in it, into the case acc. Compartment, I leave the acc. Compartment cover open
