It is a very popular fiddle tune in Kentucky. Doc Robert's was from Madison County just southeast of Lexington. That may explain some of the tune's local popularity.
Any one know what year Rigel Mandolins started being made in Cambridge VT versus Hyde Park VT? I have #1883 with a tag that says 'Made in Hyde Park VT' and #2486 that is made in Cambridge.
