for I too am at peace with my Cohen A5 and my Gibson A3! It's the Eastman OM that really surprised me. Not planning OMAS!

my hard-shell flatiron pancake case fits into a Superior gig bag. Then I have the gig bag when I walk to the beach!

I use "154 Heavy" formerly, "Stark" on my -20 A3 paddle head.
I've had my A3 for almost 40 years. Mediums (IMHO) are not well suited for arch tops. I like them on my pancakes; however! ...

lots of folks make money singing even though they ain't got much larynx.

I have the J-74 set with the heavier E string on my 1920 A3. I've always used mediums on it. Had it since '85 and no issues to report.
I really like the heavy T-I's on it too! Used to be called...
download, "Tabeditviewer" and search this very site for, "TEF" files.
The viewer lets the computer speaker play the tune. That informs the ear. Folks don't like tab, so if that you then you can...

I put the d'Adderio mandola set on my Eastman. It's about 21 inches.
I love my Eastman mdo-305! It's been a perfect companion on my start on OM.

if it wasn't for this place, I'da never known about Bill Bussman. RIP to an awesome contributor and seemingly fun-loving guy.
Condolences to all his friends and family. Quite the reminder for us...
I love mine! Had it since the mid-80's. It's very stable with regular strings.
When received it'd been stored in an attic, so I had the neck straightened and some seams reglued. No work since....
my, "No" vote relates to the, "just starting out" pronouncement.
"Just starting out" in language rarely begins with, "Reading!" To an infant, we'd give them ear training and pictures. Jam and...
no. you should learn to play with others. I mean basic stuff helps - chords with keys - but give yourself some time to make music, then learn to read.

regarding the great names who have preserved Gibson (i.e, Gruhn and so many others), perhaps, Gibson will live on in time?
Who knows what they're thinking?
