    Re: Shipping Costs

USPS wouldn't ship a dreadnaught sized box? They're definitely unpredictable when it comes to larger boxes - I shipped a Breedlove OM to Southern California, had to make a box as I couldn't find a...

    Re: 2019 Tune-A-Week Project

Cheers John, I have a JP Whitechapel tenor banjo - it's an open back with arch top tone ring(the tone ring is made from bell brass from the now closed Whitechapel foundry in London), made by Jim...
  6. Re: High Quality Short Scale Tenor Guitar?

You might put a "wanted" ad up on some of the guitar sites such as the Acoustic Guitar Forum or the Unofficial Martin Guitar forum, and here of course as well - the reissued Martin 5-15T sells used...

    Re: 2019 Tune-A-Week Project

You can always use the slow down feature on Youtube which I find helpful when learning tunes by ear.

    Re: 2019 Tune-A-Week Project

Cheers Mike! I play all the tunes I know from memory, and learn them mostly by ear, though I occasionally use ABC's which I look up over on thesession.org (notation can be found there as well).

    Re: basic recording setup

iZotope Spire Studio - super easy to use, has a built in mic and also phantom power for outboard mics, not complicated to use.

And Week 39's tune: "Up and About in...

    Re: 2019 Tune-A-Week Project

I plug the Rode mics into the Q8 - the on board mic is pretty good, but it's even better running your own mics off it.

Regarding the triplets, they always felt really natural for me to play from...

    Re: 2019 Tune-A-Week Project
