Re: Single Coil Pickups for Tenor?

it looks a "hot rail" pick up may not work in this particular instrument due to the size of the routed parts of the body where the pickups go. It looks like its meant to hold standard size single...

Re: Fender Tele Tenor at NAMM

I'll admit i've been a little frustrated with fender on this. First anticipating it sometime in July / August, then the dates getting pushed back. But more importantly, the communication has been a...

Re: Ohana prototype tenor guitar video

Is that the Tenorguitar/baritoneuke facebook group? Either way, that's super lame. I mean to be close minded in general never bodes well... But with music?? It's outright counter-intuitive.

Re: Ibanez AVN1 in Chicago tuning?

I tried it in a semi-local music shop.

    It was O.K.

Couldn't quite get the tone I wanted out of it. It's not horrible. For the price, it's a good entry level instrument. But for just a few...

Re: Single Coil Pickups for Tenor?

I just wrote a nice long reply but my internet zonked out so I lost it.

    In summary,

Yes it seems 6 string pickup spacing is similar to 4 string. I did the math.

The main issue with using a 6...

    Single Coil Pickups for Tenor?

Can you use 6 string pickups for an electric tenor? I wouldn't assume so because it wouldn't line up right? What pickups are available for electric tenor? Would lace pickups work well?

  21. Re: Is the wait for the Fender Tenor Telecaster worth it?

The string spacing on the Warren Ellis isn't too crazy. It has a bit of a learning curve when adjusting to it. Having played one, it never gave me issues. But it's different. The spacing at the nut...
