  3. Re: Curt Mangan Monel medium string price increase?

Yea, I remember buying these about a year ago at around $13.00 a set. What a bummer! They're great strings on my Silverangel, and last a long time.

    Re: Zero GLide Nut

I'm using one on my flat-radius tenor guitar, and it's a nice solution. Gold Tone has a nut width template you can download & print so you can decide which premade nut will work (or if you should buy...
  5. Re: Please talk about your experience with the Mandola.

Really interesting thread, @all, touching on some stuff I think a lot of us think about in relation to OUR relation with music. @Caleb, I especially like your distinction between player & musician.

    Re: White Stained Mandolins?

Hi TJ, when I was building electric guitars, I was always intrigued by this company's product (the mandatory "NFI" inserted!):

    Re: Heritage tenor

Heritage is well-regarded in the electric guitar world. They're ex-Gibson employees that still work out of the old factory in Kalamazoo, making excellent Les Paul & 335-alikes.

    That tenor's going...

  11. Re: Gibson threatening the mandolin and guitar luthier community

This was from the press release when Mr. Agnesi joined Gibson:

  12. Re: Small speakers revisited, and we have a new winner: Sony XB-2

How are you using these, Kurt, as an amp for playing out, or as small & accurate studio monitors for recording playback? I'm on the hunt for the latter, so these would be pretty innerestin' if so.

    Re: TI strings

One of the A's on my oval hole was buzzing , so I replaced both the A & E courses with Daddario's, and that solved it. I didn't realize the A's were wound, which now makes sense.

Two young monsters. I'm not familiar with Tristan's work in his dad's band, but both his record with Alisa Rose and his new crosspicking album, "Pretty Boy", are, outstanding.

That is a great solution! Is there a breathe-out valve in the downpointing center thing? As a fellow glasses wearer, I would get one of these, if I still had a shop!
