    Re: Cream-colored Golden Gate

I just received two of the Gilchrist picks from Carter's. Great people to deal with. I like the pick a lot. It fits tone wise right between a Blue Chip 55 and a Primetone. The Blue Chip is a bit...

Yes, I am fortunate to have a degree of financial freedom. But I can assure you this mandolin is being PLAYED and not just admired. But that said it was the 2 pt design and the herringbone purfling...

    Re: Post MAS syndrome

I was over MAS until I was reading a thread about mando shops in Denver that said there was a nice Weber Bighorn in one. Well, it's no longer in Colorado.

Re: If you keep going back, it's BOUND to happen!

I did something similar. While undergoing chemo/radiation treatments for tonsillor cancer I pulled the trigger on a used Gibson Mandolin Store Custom F5G.

Apparently it worked. I’m much better...

I used to own this model Loar.

Ivan, when I called Weber they asked for the serial number and then looked up the build specs. I bought the mando used here through the classifieds. They told me it was a custom build for The...

I recently bought this used Weber Yellowstone Oval A. I had Randy Wood scoop the fretboard extension last week. It’s a very nice mandolin.

Re: Next frontier: What's next after Mandolin???

I've played guitar for over 50 years and picked up the mandolin about 4 years ago. I've no interest in learning another instrument...but I did play pickle ball for the first time this morning...and...

    New Mandolin Day

I really can't say enough about this mandolin. I found a used 2016 Mandolin Store Custom F5 and pulled the trigger. It's a step above an F5 and a step below The Fern in the Gibson pecking order.
