You should be able to answer you question by next week then.

Is it the set neck (Hofner style) or bolt on? I assume 'teardrop', not guitar shaped body..?

Re: Strings for a K-1 Mandocello

    They fit mine just fine.

The tension was too much for an old repair. The luthier put on a lighter set as he didn't have the correct on hand. I haven't changed them yet, but will put together my...

Re: Mojo on beloved Daley mandolin

Sorry, I have no advice to offer, but how long has it taken you to put that amount of love into it? If years, I see no need for concern at this point.

Re: D'Addario Strings - Ask Us Anything

I'd like to think they are using plain English, whatever they mean by "better" (I assume longer). That is, for every hour of the other brand, you get an additional hour and 18 minutes from XT's. 100%...

    harmonic (?) truss rod buzz

Okay, not a mando but I bought this Teisco six string because I love it's tenor-bouzouki conversion cousin I picked up a couple years ago.

    I get truss rod buzz playing A's & D's on strings 1-4.

Re: Are Lilliputians allowed to sell on ebay?

Okay, I stopped myself from posting about this, but now the door's open, and ther are suddenly a few more tiny people with mando listings. Catchy name for this one; 24 Fred Acoustic. ...

    Re: Whew...some Reverb sellers...

My garage is short staffed because they can't find anyone for the front end who can speak with customers. Candidates have all been in their 20's.
  12. Re: Total new guy intro and how to tune my new Eastwood WE tenor

Can't a six string be tuned in even more ways? Having 50% more strings, it's way more versatile.
An earlier post suggested that Chicago tuning has a fuller, deeper tone. Hmm, like a six string?
  13. Re: PSA - those old-school wooden pyramid metronomes

Sorry Tico, That was just me maybe being a bit of a smartass. I think we understood what you were saying.
  14. Re: PSA - those old-school wooden pyramid metronomes

Really? Or is this just the wording? Or am I reading this when I should be asleep?

Wouldn't the time between every other click (let's call them odd) be the same, and the time between the evens be...

    Re: Build A Tenor Guitar

    Hi Dave,

Maybe you've already started, but my unfinished project was a Hanna Montana electric. They had one this aft at the Maple ridge Value Village for $60 and another short scale elec for $8....

On my abandoned conversion I used a hacksaw and cut through the fret wires. It went really well, except when I rushed.

I'm starting to feel like getting back to it.... Thanks

I've never seen any new electrics under $500. Even used Eastwoods are a little more than that. I started a cheap conversion a couple...

    Re: Build A Tenor Guitar

Well, it depends on what you mean by "a good tenor guitar", "a pretty penny" and "cheap enough". Then there is the hope that your luthier won't cost too much.... Definitely ask what they'll charge...
  20. Re: Real talk: Are the C strings in the J78 packs dead?

Thank you. I don't see gauges listed. ?
  21. Re: Real talk: Are the C strings in the J78 packs dead?

I was going to ask you what gauges, but then thought I could just check on-line. I don't see mandocello strings on their site. Did you order a custom set? More to the point, what gauges?

    Thanks!
