    Waverly Tuners tight

Waverly Tuners on a new mandolin. Some turn easily, others very stiff - even on the same pair of strings.

    Re: Strap installation question

No need to cut it. Slide the end of the closed loop under the strings from the treble side to the bass side. Then pass the other end of the strap thru that loop and take up the slack. Hopefully you...

Re: Mando Fret work in SF/Marin?

I played the Northfield A last week, it's a good one, really liked it. But it was my second favorite in the store. Number 1 for me was the Collings MFO.

BTW, I got a tour of the shop area from...

    Re: Short-neck oval A models?

    Peter's work is stupendous. I...

    Calton Case Cover

There have been lots of case cover discussions. My specific question: Is there a case cover available for a Texas made Calton Mandolin case. I emailed Calton but received no reply.

  20. Re: Volume of oval vs f-hole for Irish session music

    Re: Great band name!

Another great one was just before Hot Rize began - Charles and Pete were in a 4 man band called "The Rambling Drifters."
After intermission they came out as "The Drifting Ramblers."
