  1. Re: Eastman Md815 versus MD915 what is the difference?

Link to the new specs with pricing:
    https://www.eastmanguitars.com/mandolin_f_style

    No financial interest.
  2. Re: Best Bang for Buck, No Frills Player Discussion

Ditto on Collings MT. Could be a lifetime instrument or a trade in/sale later for another instrument.

Re: Light gauge strings for Eastman 804

D'addario lights are 10 to 38. Elixir lights are 10 to 34. Not a ton of difference but I use them and like them, particularly for longevity.

Re: Steve Winwood - Breedlove 'KF''

I saw him in concert many years ago. He said that he was flying and could only take his mandolin with him. He wrote it at his destination (somewhere) on the mandolin as it was all he had. So it...

To complicate tone matters, according to the clip, Kym's MT2 is engleman. It (and he) sound wonderful.

    Re: Typical MT2 sound?

    That sounds great!

Note that MT (which I have) has an Engleman top. MT2 has a Adirondack top. Sound is a bit different if you are looking at the lower priced MT (vs. MT2) model.

    The F holes...
