Check out the Alto TS110A on the Musician's Friend website - 600 watts of power at $250. I purchased two of them in January of this year for my solo acoustic gigs and quite please with them so far....

I have a Summit F100 and based on my experience you are going to be quite happy with your purchase. Summits have got to be one of the best quality buys out there.

    Re: Small Dog Case Cover

I have had a Small Dog case cover for several years and have no regrets - regarding the standard pocket opening, a Tonegard fits perfectly, does not look like it would with the custom sideways (I...

Re: How many pieces in your band

    Miller's Mule has 6 members: bluegrass banjo - upright bass - mandolin - dobro/resonator guitar - fiddle/guitar - guitar/(+ some clawhammer/mando). 4 of us sing or add harmony.
  6. Re: Case cover with with pocket for Tone Gard?

My Small Dog case cover has an outside zippered pocket which is almost a custom fit for my Tonegard. Strings & tuners still fit underneath the gard.
  7. Re: Jamming vs. Being In a Band - Is there a happy medium?

Play in a band and also jam; get more musical satisfaction with the performing band. - Jams tend to be social occasions but quality (& resultant frustrations or satisfaction) can vary quite a bit.
  8. Re: Walnut Valley Festival 40th Anniversary

Our camp group goes down earlier every year before land rush and keep getting pushed further out from electrical outlets. We did get electricity again for 2010, not sure how we're going to plan for...
  9. Re: Fiddler in Band DINGED my BEST mandolin . .. !

I have played in a bluegrass band for about 5 years now and dings come with the territory (specially since going to single mic). Same is true for jams. Fortunately my son has no problems with...

Re: How Often Does Your Band Rehearse?

Try to get in at least one practice before a gig if not two. Individual band members work on their own parts & vocals in between times. Recently started to focus on working a single condenser mic and...
  13. Re: Regular Jamming Sessions.....any benefits?????

One benefit of playing in jams is finding out (generally quickly) where my shortcomings are and what needs to be worked on. A well run jam with friendly helpful folks can be a great experience, but...

  18. Re: small diaphragm consdenser mic for live use

I have two of the AT Pro 37's which I use for live mics on mandolin & guitar - to my ears better sound reproduction than a Shure 57 which I also have.

    Re: Eastman 300 series mandolins

I've been looking for a relatively inexpensive decent A model mandolin. The 305 might just be it. Are there any Eastman dealers in Wichita, KS where a person might go to check one out?
