Re: Your Thoughts On D'Addario XT Strings

I put a set on about two months ago and I absolutely love them. The sound difference is significant and the strings stayed in tune very quickly. I guess it just depends on the mandolin, but for my...

My Eastman 315 lives in a Superior fiberglass case - fits like a glove and there is a compartment for strings, etc.

    Re: V-picks

I've tried different V-Picks on the mandolin and found they produced too much string noise as they are quite thick. That is, until I found the Tremolo P, which is only 1.00 mm - I haven't used...

  17. Re: Which different picks should I try for my first mandolin

    Re: DR Dragon Skin Strings

I've tried them and was very happy with them - great tone, feel, they keep the tune, a really full sound on my Eastman MD315, very long lasting, too - without losing quality. I can only recommend!:)
  22. Re: Yet Another Newbie with a New Eastman Mandolin

Re: Saying hello and a question

That is so true I've found that strings everyone recommends sound awful on my mandolin. So just try and listen out for the voice of your mandolin!
