Would that work on a pre-war (WWI that is!) Gibson F-4. Mine is doing the same thing to about that extent, or a little more.
Interesting observations. I bought a 1913 Gibson F-4 at the beginning of the year, and its tone is to die for. Paid less than the bottom or your range. Louder and more resonant than my Eastman 615...
The 615 I bought 3 years back has the rectangular case and does have a shoulder strap (which I do not use). I am actually using the case for my Gibson F-4 now (The Eastman is in a gig bag). The case...
Link says Video Unavailable for me.
How about jazz? Don Stiernberg and friends did a nice album recently call Rhythm Twist.
Not here. I had to tweak my MD615 for intonation's sake and had no problem moving it.

Can you help me correct some misinformation posted here (Mandolin Cafe):
We aren't blocking those domains per se, we don't allow people to register with them because...
To become a Charter member, you need to pay any annual fee. Charter members have more storage, and (most importantly) can post in the AGF classifieds.
To simply Register, a fee is not required.
I think I could do as well with a hand held coping saw... :))
Perhaps he wants the all-maple version. Gryphon has a mahogany one too.
If you like them twice as much, or the same and they'll last twice as long: yes. If neither: no. If both: H*** Yes!
Oh, originally thought there was found a previously unknown nephew of Thorin Okenshield! :))
Me too. I keep the body of the tuner behind the headstock so you only see the 8mm x 20mm clip. None of "The Gibson" is obscured on my F-4!. I use a soundhole tuner on my McIlroy guitar and it works...
That I had no responses from the e-mails sent from the classifieds.
I've used that twice and gotten an earful of crickets both times.
It took 111 years to develop the speed neck on my F-4. :)
A couple of nice tunes from a couple of real virtuosos! Hope they win their respective Grammy's.
Did he actually play it on a recording? Unless you could say "this is the mandolin he played on "Walk of Life" (as an example)" that is a crazy price. Money to burn, I guess. Maybe Jim Irsay...? :))
Good that they come with a "giga" bag. :))
I'm only 1-month into my F-4 but agree in spades. Best part? My wife absolutely loves the tone, which means more playing time for me!
How long has it been out of your hands?
It appears even with the strap still on? That's promising. Thanks for the recommendation.
Hey Vintage Gibson F-4 owners! I am looking for a modern hard case in the "several hundred dollars" ballpark that is guaranteed to fit an F-4 with its shorter neck.
Thanks for any recommendations....
Do a search on Reverb to see your range. Lot of new ones going for less than you paid, I'm afraid.
