Re: Curt Mangan Medium Strings !

If my experience is anything to go by you'll really enjoy it when it arrives. And you've upgraded bits and pieces, I see. That's the joy of a custom order ! I've been sorely tempted by his guitar...

Re: Curt Mangan Medium Strings !

Haven't tried the monels - just medium phosphor bronze - labelled as 'Fusion Matched' phosphor bronze. Reckon the 'Fusion' thing is just marketing hype ! I spend my time between Ireland and the UK...

Re: Ciaran Curran & Fintan McManus

    Mike,

Just spent 3 weeks on the west coast of Clare in Ireland, playing in sessions and drinking the night away with Dermot Byrne - like having a piece of Altan sat in front of you. He's in...
  8. Re: Visiting Cornwall, Ireland, snd Scotland in Oct-Nov 2017

For Ireland I couldn't put it better than the poet Seamus Heaney did:

'And sometime make the time to drive out west
Into County Clare, along the Flaggy Shore,
In September or October ...... '

Re: Andy Tobin Cedar Bouzouki Build Diary

I have one of Andy's 5 course citterns - a really versatile alternative to the bouzouki - shorter scale length which makes it a bit more manageable and the option of a low growling bass when you want...
